Joshua Shane Gomez

Rifle resident Joshua "Josh" S. Gomez, passed away at the young age of 29 on June 9, 2018. Josh was welcomed into the world on July 20, 1988, the son of Albert Gomez and Louise Sisneros. He was united in marriage to Tanya Bello on February 10, 2012 in Dickinson, North Dakota. Josh worked in the Oil industry for many years where he excelled at his profession. Josh was an exceptional and loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who enjoyed going fishing , hunting, camping, and the time he was able to spend with his children, family and friends. Josh was always so proud of his family, especially his children who were the center of his world. Josh was not with us nearly long enough, but the memories and impressions he left with his family and friends will be cherished forever and he will be dearly missed. Survivors include his parents Albert (RoAnne) Gomez of Romeo, CO; Louise Gomez of Center, CO; wife Tanya Gomez of Rifle, CO; daughters Jazmin Gomez, Janelle Gomez both of Rifle, CO; sons Joshua Gomez Jr., Joseph Gomez both of Rifle, CO; sisters Jessica Ross of Oregon, Tammy Gomez of Denver, CO; Miranda Gomez of Pueblo, CO; Racheal Gomez of Romeo, CO; brothers Jerry Sisneros, Gary (Amanda) Gomez both of Center, CO; Steven Morgan, Levon (Je Taime) Sisneros both of Grand Junction, CO; Jeremy (LeAnn) Gomez of Monte Vista, CO; Keith (Brie) Ruybal of Battlement Mesa, CO; Jayden Gomez of Romeo, CO; paternal grandparents Harvey (Sandy) Smalley of Mosca, CO; John and Leon Ruybal of Antonito, CO; maternal grandmother Rebecca Sisneros of Center, CO; aunts Tandi Bolt of Alamosa, CO and Skeeter Salmans of Denver, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Josh was preceded in death by his parental grandparents Matthew and Josephine Gomez , maternal grandfather Margarito Sisneros, paternal grandfather Nick Gomez,uncles Lloyd Gomez Sr., Gigi Gomez, J.R. Sisneros, Danny Sisneros, Randall Sisneros, aunts Joan Gomez, Betty Sisneros, Kim Howard and one cousin Lizzy Gomez. A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 7:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM also at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin. Interment will follow at the Gomez Cemetery
