Guadalupe I. Salazar June 21, 1931 - May 5, 2026 With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Guadalupe I. Salazar, who peacefully entered eternal rest on May 5, 2026, at his home residence in Northglenn, Colorado, surrounded by the love and memories of his family. He was 94 years old. Guadalupe was born on June 21, 1931, in Los Sauces, Colorado, to his loving parents, Candideo Salazar and Eugenia Gallegos. Raised with strong values of hard work, devotion, and family, Guadalupe carried those principles throughout every chapter of his life. He was a proud son, a devoted father and grandfather, a loyal friend, and a man whose strength and kindness touched everyone who knew him. Guadalupe honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and was a proud Vietnam War Veteran, dedicating many years of faithful service before retiring with pride and honor. His military career reflected his discipline, courage, and deep love for his country. Even after retirement, he continued to live with the same determination and resilience that defined his years in the service. Outside of his military life, Guadalupe was a man of many talents and passions. He found joy in riding motorcycles, spending time shooting, gardening, welding, and working on small engine mechanics. He had a gift for fixing things with his hands and a remarkable ability to create, repair, and build. Whether tending to his garden, working in the garage, or sharing stories with loved ones, Guadalupe lived life with purpose and heart. Above all else, Guadalupe cherished his family. The moments he spent surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were among his greatest treasures. His love was steady, unconditional, and deeply felt by those closest to him. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, wisdom, laughter, and devotion that will continue through generations. Guadalupe is lovingly survived by his daughters, Denise (Dave) Cuadrado of Hawaii, Nadia (Joe) DeHerrera of Northglenn, Colorado, and Patty Joaquim of Texas; his son, Leo (Heather) Salazar; his 11 cherished grandchildren; and his 4 precious great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind extended family members and countless friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Candideo Salazar and Eugenia Gallegos; his seven sisters; three brothers; and his beloved son Dennis Salazar. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing Guadalupe lived a full and meaningful life, rich with love, service, and dedication to those he cared for most. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Guadalupe will be laid to rest on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Gate to Heaven Cemetery located in Los Sauces, Colorado.
