Telesforo Orlando Lobato Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Romeo resident Telesforo (Ted) Orlando Lobato Jr., 74, went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2020. Ted was welcomed into the world on November 17, 1945 in Romeo, Colorado, the son of Telesforo Lobato Sr., and Mary Velasquez Lobato. Telesforo served and was a veteran of the United States Army. He proudly and selflessly served our country. Ted was an honorable man whose presence always commanded respect and attention. He was tall, handsome and lively. Those who had the privilege to know him knew he always carried himself with pride and dignity; he was always well dressed and smelled incredible. His twinkling eyes were supported by his beautiful smile and contagious laugh. He was an amazing storyteller, conversationalist and an excellent listener. Ted had a love and passion for old, classic vehicles and was talented enough to make his dreams a reality time after time. Above all Ted loved his family. He was an amazing husband,father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. All who knew him loved him. His greatest joy in life came from the time he was able to spend with his children and grandchildren. Ted is survived by his wife Vivian R. Lobato of Romeo, CO; daughters LeeAnn (John) Cisneros of Alamosa, CO; Luann (Ralph) Bernard of Johnstown, CO; Angel (Tiger) Espinoza of Aztec, NM; Joline Lobato of La Jara, CO; son Teddy Lobato of Romeo, CO; 12 grandchildren Kimberly Bernard, Sean Bernard, Jonathon Bernard, Isabella Bernard, Savannah Bernard, Lucas Bernard, Jerome Salazar, Jerel Salazar, Nikki Espinoza, Cristopher Cisneros, Celine Cisneros, Isaiah Lobato, 3 great-grandchildren Nevaeh Salazar, Nevaeh Bernard and Nalah Salazar, sisters Marcella (Anthony) Espinoza of Farmington, NM; Trini (Art) Espinoza of Aztec, NM; Lilly (Joseph) Espinoza of Aztec, NM; brother Leo Lobato of Romeo, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Telesforo was preceded in death by his parents Telesforo Sr. and Mary Lobato, brother Benito Lobato and sister Marjorie Lobato. A Private family Mass was held and he was laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Once restrictions are lifted there will be a Memorial Mass held at a later date
