Track City/Antonito resident Patricia Carmelita Gallegos (the Cheese Lady), 79, passed away on January 31, 2020 at home with her loving family by her side. Patricia loved reading, making cheese and bread, farming and ranching, cooking, sewing, playing wordsearch and especially the time she spent with her loving family. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.Patricia is survived by her loving and devoted husband Rudolph Gallegos; daughters Christina Gallegos, Seattle, WA; Candelaria Mancillas, Antonito, CO; her sons Rudolph Michael Gallegos, Coeur d Alene, ID; Timothy John (Kyle) Gallegos, Estrella, CO; Lewis Patrick (Audrea) Gallegos, Conejos, CO; brothers David Gallegos, Tempe, AZ; Richard (Lorraine) Gallegos, La Jara, CO; Joseph (Erma) Gallegos, Westminster, CO; brother-in-law Gordon Matthies, Canon City, CO.Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Bartello Gallegos and Candelaria Chavez Gallegos; sister Carla Matthies, brother Paul Gallegos and granddaughter Zantia Gallegos.A viewing and visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Romero Funeral Chapel in Antonito. A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM on February 5, 2020 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Conejos
