Jose Samuel Rendon Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sanford resident Jose Samuel Rendon, 78, was called home November 9, 2021. He passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his wife and family by his side under Hospice Care. Jose was welcomed into the world on August 21, 1943, in Alamosa, Colorado, he was the son of Joe H. Rendon and Rose Romero Rendon. Jose was united in marriage to Alice Espinoza on August 22, 1986 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin, Colorado. They shared a happy and loving union for 35 years. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years for Asphalt Construction. After 27 years he was able to retire from Asphalt Construction and begin a new chapter in his life. He loved going to the casino., doing word search puzzles, playing cards and listening to music. Jose cherished the time he spent with his family. He will live on through his wife Alice Rendon of Sanford, CO; sisters Anna Rendon of Sanford, CO; Roseann Maez of Antonito, CO; sisters-in-laws Julia Rendon of Sanford, CO; Sylvia Rendon of Salt Lake City, UT. Jose was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Rose Rendon, sister Amada Marquez, brothers Joe and Tony Rendon. A Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of the Catholic Church in La Jara. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 AM also at Our Lady of the Valley Church. Interment will be held at the Los Cerritos Cemetery.
