Gloria Pacheco

Garcia resident Gloria J. Pacheco gained her angel wings on July 23, 2023 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Gloria was welcomed into the world on February 10, 1937, to Filimon Cordova and Silverita Archuleta Cordova who preceded her in death. Gloria was a very intelligent and loving woman after graduation she met the love of her life Rumaldo Pacheco the two were married January 3, 1956 and enjoyed their marriage till his passing on November 6, 2002. Through their union they started their family and welcomed five children, who meant the world to her. Throughout Gloria’s life she loved to cook and bake for her family and friends which brought joy to many. She loved spending her time quilting, crocheting, and bead work. Gloria was a very lucky person, so she put her luck to good use at the casino where she could sit and enjoy her time. Her greatest pastime of all was the time she spent with her loving children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings and friends. Gloria will be missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through her children; Karl (Debbie) Pacheco of Georgia, Linda Pacheco of Garcia, CO, Barbara (Martin) Amarillas of Brighton, CO and Karen (Steve) Cornish of Florissant, CO, her eleven grandchildren; Gabriel, Michelle, Shannon, Joe, Marty, Liana, Marshall, Wesley, Angela, Justin, and Jessica as well many great grand grandchildren, one sister Cheryl Esquibel of Commerce City, CO, two brothers Ben Cordova of Colorado and Chris Cordova of Missouri as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Filimon and Silverita Cordova, Her husband of 46 years Rumaldo Pacheco, one son Rumaldo Jr., one sister Sharon Cordova, four brothers; David, Edwin, Amos, and Willie Cordova. A viewing will be held on Saturday July 29,2023 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Sagrado Corazón Catholic Church in Costilla, CO with Vigil Service with Recitation of the Rosary to follow at 9:00 AM also at Sagrado Corazón Catholic Church in Costilla, CO. The Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:00 AM also at the Sagrado Corazón Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Garcia Cemetery.
