Eve Galloway Nugent August 18, 1951 – December 7, 2025 With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Eve Maria Nugent, who peacefully passed away on December 7, 2025, at Rio Grande Rehab, La Jara, Colorado. Eve was a loving wife, mother, teacher, caregiver, and friend whose life was dedicated to serving and caring for others. Her kindness, compassion, and gentle spirit touched the lives of many throughout her years. Eve was born on August 18, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, to her beloved parents Ralph Galloway and Gene Riley Galloway. From an early age, Eve carried a natural gift for nurturing and helping others, which would become the foundation of her lifelong dedication to children, families, and those in need. Eve pursued her education in San Antonio, Texas, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of San Antonio Texas. She used her education and passion for learning to create a meaningful career centered around helping others. She began her professional journey as a school teacher with the Austin Independent School District in Austin, Texas, where she worked with primary students as well as high school students with special needs for four years. Eve had a remarkable ability to see the potential in every child and provided them with patience, encouragement, and unconditional support. Her compassion extended beyond the classroom, as she continued to bring comfort, care, and companionship to those who needed it most. After her years working with special needs children, Eve continued her calling of service by becoming a child care provider, and helping senior adults. She lovingly cared for many babies and children, creating bonds that lasted far beyond her years of service. Caring for others was not simply a career for Eve—it was her purpose and a reflection of the loving heart she carried. Eve married the love of her life, Ralph Nugent, in February of 1986. Together, they shared many years of love, memories, and companionship. Eve was a 25-year member of Hill Country Bible Church, where she faithfully served in children’s, marriage, and ministries. She found joy and peace through her relationship with God, sharing her faith with those around her. Eve was a woman full of creativity, joy, and warmth. Some of her favorite hobbies included painting, dancing, singing, and leading women’s bible studies. She had a beautiful way of bringing happiness into every room she entered, and her laughter, music, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Eve leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and dedication. She is survived by her beloved husband, Ralph Nugent; her son, Austin Marcus Nugent; her brother, Greg (Kathy) Galloway; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her. Eve was preceded in death by two baby girls, “Leila” and “Jeanette”; her parents, Ralph Galloway and Gene Riley Galloway; and her four brothers and one sister. Though Eve’s time on earth has come to an end, the love she shared and the lives she touched will continue to live on. Her caring hands, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to helping others created a lasting impact that will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
