David Mark Sanchez

Our beloved son, David Mark Sanchez, 18 who was born on September 13, 2006 was called home to be with our Lord on August 12, 2025. David had love and zest for life like no other. He has always been adventurous and one with nature. He loved to fish, spend time with his friends and play video games. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, but his brother was his best friend. They would listen to music, go on joy rides, and just enjoy each other’s company. He was a hard worker and was very determined for such a young individual. Any goal David set his mind to, he would achieve, no matter how hard it was. He was always a jokester and could put a smile on anyone’s face. He was a man of faith and displayed his love for the Lord through his confidence in his plan and by always wanting to help others. He wrestled since he was 6-years-old, and also played football and basketball throughout his life. He attended Heritage Elementary School, Bill Metz, Monte Vista Middle School, Pueblo Academy of Arts, and then graduated from Pueblo Central High School in May, 2025. During his time at Central High School, he played football and wrestled. He was also part of the Newman club and student council. He was a two-time Colorado High School State Wrestling runner up, once in 3A his junior year and then in 4A as a senior. He was planning on attending Otero College on an athletic scholarship to pursue his wrestling career and nursing degree. He wanted to be a nurse like his Momma. He was welcomed into the gates of heaven by his Grandpa David Mark Trujillo, his beautiful angel, cousin Aiyana Renee Chavez, Maternal Grandparents Henry and Eva Trujillo, Amadeo Sisneros and Paternal Grandparents Manuel and Josie Trujillo, Sulema and Jose Sanchez. His football and lifting buddy, Erric, was also there to welcome David home. He is survived by his parents, Daniel & Amy Sanchez, his brother and best friend, Daniel Lee Sanchez Jr., his baby sister Devyn Elysse Sanchez and girlfriend Gianna Coca. He is also survived by his Aunts Melissa Sisneros (Toka Silk), Sonya (Frank) Daniels and Vanessa Sanchez (Jon Chavez); His Uncles Dominick Lujan (Kayla), Stephen (Jody) Sanchez, and Jason Sanchez; His paternal grandparents Leroy and Wanda Sanchez; Cousins Marcus, Kassiah, Jarren, Malik, Andrew, Josiah, Bella, Alaya, Alex, Caleb, Isaac, Ian, Amadeo, Andrew, Jon Chavez Jr., Silk and Julian. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins from the Sanchez, Trujillo and Sisneros families. He had many close friends who were like family. There will be a candlelight Vigil in Pueblo, Colorado on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Lake Minnequa Veteran's Memorial Park. There will also be a viewing at Romero Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 2:00-4:00pm, with a rosary/vigil following at 6:30 pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Monte Vista. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Monte Vista, with burial immediately following services at Monte Vista Cemetery. There will be a dinner at the Nazarene Gym following the burial services.
