Casilda Altagracia Armenta March 30, 1936 - August 31, 2026 With deep sadness and loving remembrance, the family of Casilda Altagracia Armenta announces her passing on August 30, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Del Norte, Colorado. Casilda lived a long and meaningful life filled with faith, hard work, family, friendships, and many treasured memories. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. Casilda was born on March 30, 1936, in Agua Ramon, Colorado, to Andres Armenta and Elcira Arellano. She was raised in Del Norte, Colorado, a community that remained close to her heart throughout her life and ultimately became the place she called home. A hardworking and dedicated woman, Casilda spent much of her life working in the agriculture industry. She understood the value of an honest day’s work and carried with her a strong and determined spirit. Her life reflected the strength, perseverance, and devotion to family that defined the woman she was. Casilda’s Catholic faith was also an important part of her life. She faithfully attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she found comfort, strength, and a sense of community. Her faith remained a source of peace throughout the many seasons of her life. Although Casilda was a hardworking woman, she also knew how to appreciate life’s simple pleasures. She enjoyed spending quiet moments completing crossword puzzles, listening to her favorite Spanish music, and relaxing while watching her favorite television programs. Most of all, Casilda cherished visiting with her family and friends. Whether sharing stories, enjoying conversation, or simply spending time together, the company of those she loved brought her great happiness. Casilda leaves behind a beautiful family who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Jacques of Taos, New Mexico; Anita (Jeff) Adcock of Alamosa, Colorado; Tina (Joe) Sisneros of Monte Vista, Colorado; and Rita Trujillo of Del Norte, Colorado; and her sons, Andy Borrego of Denver, Colorado; Elias Borrego of Atlanta, Georgia; Leo (Shelly) Tinoco of Denver, Colorado; and Lorenzo (Angeles) Tinoco of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her father, Andres Armenta; her mother, Elcira Armenta; her brothers, Flavio Armenta and Ben Armenta; her beloved son, Joe Borrego; her grandsons, Carlos Archuleta and Reynaldo Trujillo Jr.; her granddaughter, Amanda Tinoco; her daughter-in-law, Lauren Borrego; and her son-in-law, Reynaldo Trujillo Sr. Casilda's 90 years of life created countless memories that will remain with her family for generations to come. She will be remembered for her strength, her faith, her hardworking nature, and the joy she found in the people and simple things she loved most. Though her family now mourns her absence, they can find comfort in knowing that the love she gave, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created will remain a lasting part of their lives. Her familiar presence, the sound of her Spanish music, the conversations shared during visits, and all of the little moments that made Casilda who she was will be dearly missed. Her life was a blessing to those around her, and her memory will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her children, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
