He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, craftsman, and proud veteran whose presence left a lasting mark on all who knew him. Arturo was born to Agapito Trujillo and Celia Vigil, who instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and deep family devotion. He carried these principles throughout his life, shaping the man he became and the legacy he leaves behind. He pursued higher education with determination, earning his bachelor’s degree—an accomplishment that reflected both his perseverance and his commitment to personal growth. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army for four years. His time in the military was a source of great pride, and he carried that sense of duty, discipline, and respect into every chapter of his life. Arturo dedicated most of his professional life to working at General Motors, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in his craft. His years there reflected his commitment to providing for his family and building a stable, meaningful life. Arturo was a man of many talents and passions. He found joy and expression through carving and jewelry making, creating pieces that reflected both his creativity and his patience. He also loved spending time as a santero, finding peace in the outdoors and connection to the land. Above all, Arturo cherished his role as a family man. He was known for his warmth, his quiet strength, and his unwavering love for those closest to him. He shared a lifelong bond with his beloved wife, Betty Alvarado Trujillo, whose partnership and companionship were central to his life. Together, they built a home filled with love, resilience, and enduring commitment. Arturo was a proud father to Tina Trujillo Atencio and Teresa Trujillo Fairbanks, and he held a special place in his heart for his niece, Debbie Vigil, whom he loved and raised as his own daughter. His love extended to his grandchildren, who brought him great joy and pride. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Alvarado Trujillo; his daughter, Tina Trujillo Atencio (Ron Atencio) and Teresa Trujillo Fairbanks (Dick Fairbanks); his niece Debbie Vigil; and his grandchildren Trishalana Pina and Richard Fairbanks Jr. He is preceded in death by his parents, Agapito Trujillo and Celia Vigil, as well as his sister, Angela Trujillo and brother Carl Trujillo. Arturo will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his creative hands, his dedication to his family, and his deep-rooted sense of honor. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the love he gave, and the memories that will forever be held close by those who knew him.
