Armando Acosta Gallardo July 26, 1963 - May 19, 2026 Armando Acosta Gallardo, 62, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at his home residence in Alamosa, Colorado, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on July 26, 1963, in Zacatecas, Mexico, to Jose Carmen Acosta and Victoriana Gallardo. Armando was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent most of his life working in drywall for Tristar. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, determination, and commitment to providing for his family. Armando enjoyed staying active and spending time doing the things he loved most. Some of his favorite hobbies included working out, running, biking, traveling to Mexico, and making memories with his family. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Shyla, who brought him endless joy and companionship. Above all else, Armando was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered for his caring heart, his dedication to his loved ones, and the many memories he created with those around him. Armando was preceded in death by his loving parents, Jose Carmen Acosta and Victoriana Gallardo. He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica Acosta; his sons, Kenneth (Lynette) Martinez and Travis Martinez; his sisters, Rosa Acosta, Carmela Acosta, Elsa Acosta, Magdalena Acosta, and Olga Acosta; his brother, Rodolpho Acosta; his cherished grandchildren, Briana Martinez and Dominic Martinez; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory. A Rosary will be held at Sangre de Cristo Catholic Church, 511 S. Church Place, San Luis, Colorado 81152, at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Chama Cemetery in Chama, Colorado.
