Angela Gonzales

Angela Leigh Gonzales, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece, and friend to so many, left us too soon on June 18, 2023, to spread her wings and fly. Angela was welcomed into the world on the 9th day of November 1990 to her beloved mother Jennifer Chacon and Patrick Gonzales. She was blessed with a sister, Monique soon after, who she loved unconditionally. All who knew Angela were amazed by her smile and her willingness to accept everyone with an open mind, and the ability to befriend anyone she spoke to. She had such a unique personality which enabled her to strike up a conversation, no matter the person or subject. Her heart was full of love and generosity. Angela had many interests including listening to all types of music, watching Bronco games, rock hounding and spending time in the mountains but most of all she loved the time she spent with her beautiful twin baby girls who were the light and joy of her life. Angela is survived by her twin daughters, Tessa Rae and Jada Faye Gonzales; mother Jennifer L. Chacon (Mike Gilmore) of Alamosa; Father, Patrick Gonzales of Monte Vista; beloved sister Monique Gonzales of Alamosa; niece Nevaeh Salazar, nephew Azariah Salazar; maternal grandparents Elissa (Gary) Frink of Alamosa; paternal great grandmother Juanita Gonzales of Del Norte, CO; Anthony and Stephanie Archuleta of Del Norte and extended family Brandon, (Amy) Archuleta, Justine Archuleta and Samantha Archuleta along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends Filiberto Montano and Alycia Medina. Angela was preceded in death by her maternal great grandparents Preston and Thelma Chacon and Emory and Louise Frink; paternal great grandfather Robert Gonzales; and stepbrother Buddy Abeyta. Services for Angela will be held at Romero Funeral Home, 1407 State Ave., on Thursday June 29th with viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed by prayer and reading of Rosary. On Friday June 30, 2023, there will be a memorial service also at Romero Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Anyone who knew Angela are welcome to share stories and join the family in honoring her memory. The care of arrangements has been entrusted to Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa.
